Haleakala Cottage

Nestled in the corner of our two acre estate, Haleakala Cottage is a cozy studio cottage which is surrounded by a jungle garden of serene greens & bright tropical flowers. It is one of those "outside-in" places...lots of outside sitting areas & decks and one of them in particular provides a wonderfully tranquil setting to laze with a long, cool drink at the end of the day and enjoy the soft sunset light. One side of the cottage looks out over rolling pastures to the rainforested foothills of 10,000 Mt. Haleakala ("House of the Sun"). There's even an ocean "glimpse" through she-oaks. Those not familiar with she-oak trees will love the sound of their "singing" in the wind at night.

The little cottage itself has full amenities, including full-size kitchen with a vacationer's best friend, a dishwasher. Though small (about 350-400 square feet), it seems spacious-decorated throughout in colors which are designed to bring nature indoors, as are the lovely June Chun limited edition prints on the walls. There is a king-size bed and a delightful tiled bathroom which extends outside into the garden so you can actually take a hot shower, or sink into your own private hot tub under the stars, surrounded by white lattice and tropical flowers & greenery.
